● What is "Senet"?
Senet, which was buried as a talisman for the dead to safely pass from this world to the next, is famous for being unearthed from the tomb of King Tutankhamun (circa 1342-1324 BC). So, what kind of game is Senet?
There are various theories, but
Game start. Four throwing sticks are used instead of dice. According to the result, you move one of your five pieces. Basically, you move forward the number of flat sides facing up, but there is an exception when complete the flat sides are facing down, in which case you move forward five spaces. Only one piece can be placed in one space. However, if you enter the same space as your opponent's piece, you exchange positions with your opponent. A notable rule is that you cannot enter a space where two or more of your opponent's pieces are lined up. How to move so that you don't snag in. This requires strategic thinking.
