Rhipsalis paradoxa, also known as the chain cactus, thrives with bright, indirect light, well-draining soil, and moderate humidity. It's important to let the soil dry out between waterings, and temperatures should be kept above 50°F (10°C).
Light: Rhipsalis paradoxa prefers bright, indirect light. An east- or north-facing window, or a spot with filtered light, is ideal. Too much direct sunlight can scorch the leaves.
Watering: Water when the top inch of soil feels dry. Avoid overwatering, as this can lead to root rot. During the growing season (spring and summer), water more frequently, but still allow the soil to dry out slightly between waterings. In winter, reduce watering frequency.
